What we provide

Nine ways we help at home

Most families come to us at a turning point — a fall, a diagnosis, a hospital discharge, or the slow realisation that a parent is managing less well alone. What follows is rarely one single service. We build the hours around the person.

24-hour care

Overnight and round-the-clock cover for people who are no longer safe alone. Waking or sleeping nights, arranged in rotating shifts so the same small team stays familiar.

Personal care and grooming

Bathing, dressing, toileting, oral care and skin care, handled by someone trained to protect dignity as much as safety. This is the part families find hardest to do themselves.

Daily living assistance

Getting up, moving safely around the house, walking to the shops, preparing meals, eating well. The ordinary business of a day, made possible again.

Alzheimer’s and dementia care

Familiar surroundings matter more in dementia than in almost any other condition. Our workers are trained to redirect rather than correct, to manage sundowning, and to keep routines steady as memory changes.

Parkinson’s care

Support timed around medication windows, when mobility is at its best and at its worst. Help with freezing episodes, fall prevention, and the fine-motor tasks that become exhausting.

Medication reminders

Prompting at the right times, in the right order, and noticing when something has been missed. We do not administer medication — we make sure the routine holds.

Respite care

Planned breaks for family caregivers. A few hours a week, a weekend, or two weeks while you go away. Caregiver burnout is the most common reason a home placement fails.

Companionship

Conversation, a card game, a walk, a drive to see an old friend. Isolation does measurable damage to older adults, and this is the service families most often underestimate.

Short and long term care

Two weeks after a hip replacement, or years of steadily increasing support. We scale hours up and down without you having to start again with a new agency.

Nobody wants to leave the house they raised a family in.

Home care exists so that decision can be delayed, safely, for as long as possible.

Paying for care

Publicly funded, private, or both

Ontario Health at Home

Some home care is publicly funded and arranged through Ontario Health atHome. Assessed hours are often fewer than families expect, and do not usually cover companionship or overnight cover.

Private arrangement

Paid directly or through insurance benefits. You choose the worker, the hours and the tasks, and can change any of them. Most families use private hours to fill the gaps around public care.

What it costs

Rates depend on the type of support, the number of hours and the time of day. Call us and we will give you a straight figure on the first call, with no obligation.

Request a call back

Tell us a little about your situation and we will get back to you within two business days.
