Sultan has spent more than a decade leading senior care services, including several years in the United Kingdom, where care providers work under some of the most closely inspected safety and quality standards anywhere. He brought that training with him to Toronto.

What he took from it is mostly unglamorous: that safety comes from procedure followed consistently rather than promised, that dignity is a practice rather than a value statement, and that families are owed the truth about what is happening even when it is not what they hoped to hear.

He runs CA Happy Care day to day — how support workers are recruited and matched, how care plans are written and reviewed, and what happens when something goes wrong. If you call the office, he is one of the people who answers.

Dr. Omar has spent more than twenty years leading teams, training staff and building services around the people who use them. He came to care through that work, because what decides whether it succeeds is the same in both: turning up when you said you would, communicating clearly with families, and treating people with dignity at the point they are least independent.

He works alongside families, support workers and healthcare providers so that the care that arrives is the care that was agreed — including supporting the safe and timely delivery of prescribed medication, following the instructions of the pharmacy or healthcare provider.
