A support worker helping an older woman at home

What we do

Support at home, at every stage of life

From an older adult who needs help getting up safely each morning, to a young person learning to run a household for the first time.

How we think about it

One method, whatever the situation

Whether it is helping an eighty-four-year-old with Parkinson’s or supporting an adult to live more independently, good care rests on the same three things: a worker who turns up when they said they would, who knows the person rather than the file, and who does the minimum necessary rather than taking over.

Doing too much is the most common failure in this work. It is faster to make the meal than to stand beside someone while they make it, and it quietly removes the ability you were hired to protect. We train against that instinct.

We do not provide housing, residential placements or overnight residential care. Every hour we deliver happens in a home the person already has.

Home care for seniors

Personal care and grooming, daily living assistance, medication reminders, companionship, respite for family caregivers, and specialist support for Alzheimer’s, dementia and Parkinson’s. Available up to 24 hours a day, short term or ongoing.

How it usually starts

Most people call at a turning point — a fall, a diagnosis, a hospital discharge, or a slow realisation that things are not working. You do not need to know what you want before you ring.

How hours are set

We start with what the day actually looks like, not a service menu. Hours get adjusted in the first fortnight, because the first plan is always slightly wrong.

How it ends

Sometimes needs increase past what home care can safely cover. We will say so plainly and help you look at the alternatives rather than stretching an arrangement that is no longer safe.

Request a call back

Tell us a little about your situation and we will get back to you within two business days.

Tell us what is going on

We will say honestly whether we are the right fit — and who else to call if we are not.
